Black America to Hillary Supporters: Business Never Personal

05 Jun 2008 12:22 pm

Fascinating post over at TPM. A higher percentage of black Dems want Hillary on the ticket than white Dems. I'm just one black person. This is the sort of thing that makes it clear that I don't speak for black folks. That said, it also bears out what I was saying about this dumb idea that Hillary would have trouble with black folks in New York. All that said, I still think it's a bad idea.

Could you hit me up via e-mail? I have a question for you.

Good lord. It's so easy to forget that there are still wells of hate that deep.

am advised in comments that the rassmussen poll is something like a push poll. If anything, this is more or less a result that said that 45% of black people are not hostile to the idea of Hillary being on the ticket, more than affirmative...

Hoax! I have been listening to black radio, reading black blogs, talk to my fellow brothers and sisters and ummm...nobody that I spoke to wants Clinton on the ticket!

You said this, "That said, it also bears out what I was saying about this dumb idea that Hillary would have trouble with black folks in New York."

She would have a problem with me but black folks are known not to demand anyhting from those that they support- not even respect.

Which black people? Where are they? Are we sure this isn't just Bob Johnson?

And assuming this is accurate... I'm sure the number would have been much higher without the Clinton's race missteps.

Again some poll claims to know what Black people think. Miss Hillary was told by Rangel and the New York Congressional group that put her in the Senate there to stand down or twist in the wind by her own damn self. Barack put the smackdown on her. It's his Party now. What role she plays in his campaign and administration will be one HE decides for her. Otherwise I honestly never want to hear from her again. Except when she concedes and I want an APOLOGY. She should be very grateful to go back to her Senate seat, esp since she didn't earn it. Being the wife of a former President really comes in handy you know? It will not get her the VP slot or else Barack is going to have a REAL problem with Black women, who by the way are 6 out of 10 of the "Black Vote".
