The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, and an Unlikely Road to Manhood
It's true-- he's good. In 2004 he stole the show, and ended up being one of Kerry's most effective surrogates. Since then he's been lights out. Back during his velour period I wouldn't have thought he had a second act like this in him. Any guesses as to how this happened?
He is smooth. When he referred to Obama as "probably the next President" it sounded like a fait à compli without a stitch of spin.
Reverend Al is back. I remember how he and Obama each stole the show at the 2004 Democratic National Convention. Well played yet again!
The man's a rhetorical genius! In another age, he'd be a talented rapper. I don't know where the 2nd act came from, but he's obviously a lot smarter than any of the folks I was raised around gave him credit for.
