The make me wish I was black ;) Do you like Andre's new stuff? Following his acting?
As a white lifelong ATL resident, they make me very proud. More of this please.
Damn. Thanks for taking an ATLien back.
ATLiens, Aquemini, Stankonia. You don't get three albums in a row from the same artist like that anymore.
^^^ Well, some folks are pretty high on Thug Motivation 101, The Inspiration, and The Recession...
Is Andre 3000 the black David Bowie? Probably.
Don't hit Back you guys! That crap is embarrassing.
I retract. As a friend just pointed out: "nobody is david bowie but david bowie. david bowie is the black david bowie."
Does anyone know which fractal that is in the background on Bombs Over Baghdad? I know I have seen it before.
For me, Stankonia was the album that made me look at hip-hop again. It's probably one of my favorite 10 albums because of that. Growing up in Houston, it was always (A) South Park Mexican, (B) songs about lean, (C) inane conversations about Tupac vs Biggie. None of it really resonated with me.
Any copyright issues with this cause I don't want to see the RIAA coming after you or nothing.
Does anyone know which fractal that is in the background on Bombs Over Baghdad? I know I have seen it before. I think you're probably thinking of a set of dragon curves. They're made of those little curlicues like that and you can tile them together to make shapes similar to that.
Makes me proud to be Southern. In sixth grade, all we had was gangsta east and west (snoop/dre/pac v. big), then out of nowhere Southerplayerlistic Cadillac Funky Music dropped. We shit ourselves. ATLiens crushed, and that was it, I was hooked.
Great song - maybe it's me, but I'm sure in BoB there is a small little tribute to the Time...but maybe I'm imagining it.
Outkast make me proud to be...ah, you have usurped them from the rest of us non-blacks by claiming them on the basis of some artificial construction. - one time atlanta resident

The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, and an Unlikely Road to Manhood
It's Stankonia!
Thanks for posting this, T. One of the best groups ever, IMHO.
