How do black people respond to Michael McDonald exactly? There's something weirder and perhaps less objectionable about a white guy who sings in a way that doesn't sound like a white guy ripping stuff off from black music but that sounds like a white guy who's literally hoping that if nobody can see him, they'll assume he's black. Then again maybe Elvis and Mick Jagger actually thought that was what they were doing at the time.
