So, so owned. Yes I know it's too easy, but he's right. The biggest failing of media, in terms of covering this election, is getting in bed with these "strategists" who are little more than out of work Party flacks.

The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, and an Unlikely Road to Manhood
What is the clip about? I'm in Canada and blocked from viewing it.
Speaking of owned, Gloria Steinem eviscerated McCain-Palin this morning: http://www.latimes.com/news/printedition/opinion/la-oe-steinem4-2008sep04,0,1290251.story
Here is a youtube version. Skip the beginning that is just a macroblocking mess.
The youtube link would be:

Why is the Daily Show so much better at nailing hypocrisy than anyone else?
I mean, TNC, you're absolutely right. It is too easy. I'm baffled that nobody else does it.
"Colorada"? Does Rove really talk like that? I don't care if he does, but I wonder if it's part of his whole dorky John Yoo-style 'one of the boys' yearning.
why does no one else do it? good question! i think they have an investment in the current paradigm. so, there simply is very little critical thought going on.
I just don't see what that investment is. Putting together clips of people contradicting themselves is easy and cheap. Paying those same people to come on your show and spout lies is expensive. And it's not like it's an honor thing. The MSM gets slammed by the left and right constantly for perceived biases, either real or imagined. Are they really worried their image would be tarnished if they actually started viewing things with a critical eye?
This whole idea of the fifth estate, that somehow it's now the job of the comedians to police the media, is thoroughly depressing.
JStew is a national treasure. Best media critic ever too. But he's the only one doing this. The Not Really Liberal Media won't approach this obvious ownage. Is this funny or tragic?
John Kerry made the same speech Candidate Palin meet Gov Palin. I echo the charge why is Stewart so far ahead of everyone else?
What does it say about our pathetic media that a comedian is the single best widely known purveyor of reality on the news?
