Comment of the year

15 Oct 2008 07:10 pm

Awesomeness:

I'm white.
And I was brought up Catholic.
And I'm gay.
And I read this blog. At work, sometimes.

Do you think I might qualify for a prize?
Yes. Yes it does. It's called "comment of the year." The "at work, sometimes" part put you over the top.

Do we all get to post our qualifications for potential prizes?

Damnit, TNC, I was going to comment in the other thread that I read your blog merely because I like feeling guilty.
But I was at work, and I couldn't...I would have felt guilty.

Jeezus Christ.

Is Andrew Sullivan so lazy he can't walk over and tell you this to your face?

LOL I think jeet should get the prize instead.

On the other side: I don't really like your music because I'm to much a blues and jazz fan, however I do see the same roots in your music I see in those, just a different artistic expression.
In 1957 we watched TV as the Little Rock Nine walked through screaming crowds of racists guarded by National Guard. After only a couple of minutes my stepfather stood up and pointed at some women chanting racist slogans and said "That makes me ashamed to admit I even come from Arkansas" and walked outside to cool off.
