Meant to post this last week. Here's Ezra and Eve having about as sane a discussion as you can have on this topic.

The Beautiful Struggle: A Father, Two Sons, and an Unlikely Road to Manhood
....and Obama shits on us again with Rick Warren! Whoo!
good grief how useless is eve fairbanks? is this her first bloggingheads? she has got to get more substantive than this going forward...
So what is Obama going to give us gays in exchange for this silly Rick Warren thing? I'm waiting to know.
....he better hope he is in a 55-45 re-election position in 2012 because at this point my wallet and check book are forever shut.
Not happy here, either. Not totally surprised though. Obama is a politician, folks. But for his deeds... We will have 4 years to see what he does and doesn't. Then I'll see if I open my wallet or not.
Thoughts after watching in full:
No matter what the subject matter on these BloggingheadsTV videos, the sole impression I always take away is how their writing is so much more insightful and articulate than their speech.
That seems fairly obvious considering the differences in the media used but these are not writers in the traditional sense, they are bloggers, most of whom publish 10+ posts a day. If basic typos and copy errors are a measure of how much editing is done, it is fair to say little to none on most blogs. The rapid-fire pace of blogging approximates speech as near as any written medium can, save IM, BBM, SMS, etc.
Even the most eloquent blogger I have seen on television (Glenn Greenwald on Bill Moyers) is that much more so on his blog.
