Great interview! She did ask some tough questions, but your answers came across beautifully.

Podcasts are supposed to be up at 3pm EST.

Here is the link from the Detroit station, John Lewis is on right now, but they said TNC will be up shortly

The John Lewis interview was beautiful, too -- esp. the section of the interview in which he discusses marriage equality/Prop 8.

forgive me if this if off topic, but somebody should point out the ridiculousness of this...

Bush commutes the sentences of border agents Ramos and Compaen, who were sentenced to 11 and 12 yrs for shooting an unarmed man in the back and then trying to cover it up.

Meanwhile, Johannes Mehserle is waiting for his pardon.

so i guess the lesson is, if you're going to shoot an unarmed man in the back, just make sure there are no cameras around.

I really liked you on Fresh Air today, man. Good job.

Its my understanding that the guy they shot (in the buttocks not the back) was a known Mexican border smuggler who was caught dead to rights with huge quantities of marijuana before trying to flee (thus the sharpshooting in the buttocks)

Not saying he deserved it, but the situation was way more ambiguous than the Grant shooting.

I have to second Jaya, loved you on Fresh Air. Your willingness to put forward your ideas, but also your uncertainties and discomfort never ceases to amaze me. Keep it up.

Enjoyed the interview. they have you listed under Wyatt Cenac's Presidential Poster Advice, which cracks me up. C'mon NPR, can't you tell black people apart?

I was interrupted while it was on, but the parts I heard were very good.

cardin salgado

I loved it- wonderfully spoken- Im a new fan

Before hearing the promos for today's show I had no idea how to pronounce your name. And actually, I've already forgotten. Tah-Nahassy? Mentally, I always sounded it out as "heezy."

So today wasn't a complete waste, learning-wise.

OH SNAP! TNC on the Newshour?! My favorite blogger on my favorite tv news show? Holla!

Yep, a change has occurred. The panel on Newshour does not get much better. Glad to hear folks with a history minus the baggage of ideology and paradigms; they have a bit of the GOOD CRAZY point of view.

two good interviews today. Never heard of you before, but I am a fan now. Your blog is going on my Google reader subs.

It's still mislabeled on NPR, oy. But great interview.

I tried to high-five you on the Terry G interview but got eaten by the filter. Hope this one gets through.

What CD said. Great to see you on the best news show out there.

Good stuff on Fresh Air.

Everything is relational, Presidential sequencing none the less, so whatever seems important to your POV is not as important as relational intelligence, or in this case, relational empathy. Good or bad, it just goes that way. Bush begot Clinton begot Bush begot Obama, or Bush begot Bush, and Clinton begot Obama, and so, on and on.... Ultimately, money rules.

Ditto all of the praise above. As a member of Terry Gross's ethnic group (timid little Jews from the Great Lakes region), let me assure you that we're pretty uneasy about the prospect of showing up in North Dakota ourselves. Like Abraham leaving his father's house, Moses leaving Pharaoh's palace, and Robin Morgan leaving the New Left, so is the story of Bob Dylan getting out of the Great White North to us.

Great Job. I didn't know that's how you pronounce your name, its kind of like Tallahassee. I like to call you Ta, along with my favorite rapper Talib Kweli. You guys both have Beautiful Struggles, spit truth and have flow on the mic.

Terry Gross is a gem, so is Gwen Ifill.

I echo the last post - I was driving to Tallahassee when I heard this interview and kept hearing her say your name as that. This is my first time hearing about you as an author and I am very intrigued by your history and writing. You have a new fan!
