There's a sign at the door, "No Biting Allowed."

19 Feb 2009 11:22 am

I think Michael Steele's comments speak for themselves. Still, his bout of slanguage fail made me want to offer a hand. The GOP has a lot of work to do, if it's going to become "hip-hop." Can't just begin with Lil Wayne, you know? Anyway, the Juice Crew seems like an appropriate start.

I take you over like a greedy executive...Coming back like I'm avenging my brother's death...Cause rocking a Party, yo it's a small thing...When it comes to money, Yo, Grant's my nigger...

» ROFL… GOP, RIP! from SmartRemarks
New Republican National Committee chair Michael Steele looks like he’s going to be a fertile source of embarrassing quotes; the “don’t trust us” thing the other day was not just an anomaly. Today’s latest:  according to T... [Read More]

Hey, at least he didn't say the new Republican PR offensive was going to be "Dyno-Mite!!!"

Talk about somebody who doesn't know how to adjust his language...doesn't he know that when he's representing a major political party with a history of insensitivity towards minority groups, jokes about midgets may not be the way to go?

I hate to date myself like this, but doesn't this look like the Fresh Prince vs. Carlton? He's trying so hard to be "down," but it's just not working. If Steele starts talking about how the GOP is in the hizzle for shizzle, I will quit life.

What is Poochie's role in all this?

Kool G. Rap's verse is the most awesome thing ever.

Hey TNC, are you up on D-Nice's True Hip Hop Stories series? Here's the one with Master Ace discussing his role in The Symphony:

I don't know what scares me more...

The idea that Steele believes an update to their propaganda with hip-hop slang and whatnot is what the Republicans need to do now (not update their philosophy or politics from 1983 or read the dictionary definition of "conservative" for some enlightenment)...

...or the cold realization that a significant portion of my country's voters couldn't parse propaganda to save their own lives and so this will all work just fine on them.

"Yo! What up homies! I be MC Steele rocking the funky fresh beats for all you hip cats. Just wannna let you fellas know about us repubs that will bring mad cheddar to the hood, know what I'm saying?"

Awesome! Been looking for this for ages and couldn't find it on iTunes.

So put a quarter in your ass 'cause you played yourself.

Probably my favorite battle rhyme ever.

"...till you fell in a spell over sleep
and while i'm counting the money
you count sheep..." KGR

Obama keeps on making it,
Steele keeps on taking it,
Progressives are creating it,
Wingnuts keep on faking it...

...everybody's talkin' bout the new RNC but they're
still telling lies to me.

The article linked to at "The American Prospect" was written by dnA, the "Too Sense" blogger.

I have really missed reading him everyday but it's still good to read something once in awhile.

As for Michael Steele, he's just looking for something...anything at all. It's not like he has much to work with.

drowning in a sea of red

I feel left out. What about us crazy skateboarding kids who listen to alterative grunge punkrock music. Gop doesnt want us?

Deleted. Find another blog.

Step 2 for minority outreach: Get George 'Macaca' Allen out on the trail!

http://thinkprogress.org/2009/02/19/allen-football-race/

@Uncular1

I would categorize that as more of a guachapa...he's trying to assert his street bonifides...I'm just waiting for the political equivalence of the C-walk...and the unavoidable ensuing gang war between the northern Steele led "blingers" and the macacas lead by Macaca-In-Chief Allen

Oh, yeah, that "macaca" incident with George Allen is one of my all time favorites.

Yes, why not direct your racial slurs straight at a man who is holding a video camera pointed at YOU and prove to your constituents that you are too stupid to be their senator?

That will be in the Top Ten Campaign Mistakes of All Time.

So how long do ya'll think Steele will last?
