Funny, funny shit. Chaka Khan always seemed bigger than life to me, like a funk superhero or something. What a voice. It's been said once, but is worth saying again:
"Chaka Khan I wanna rock you, that's all I want to do..."
My mom used to rock that big afro-on-steroids Chaka Khan hair back in the day! Miss Chaka was--and is--a gorgeous woman, and her voice has held up remarkably well.

Chaka Khan holds a special place in my heart, aside from that hell of a voice she has. I interned at a production company in Beverly Hills back around 2004. Chaka has her own company. Chaka's company was next door to my internship.
I shared a wall with Chaka Khan. With the executive office.
Hearing The Chaka Khan belly-laugh at all the dreadful demo CDs people send her is a magical experience, and I wish I could share it with the world. The laughter stopped immediately when her son got that murder rap, of course. Nothing lasts forever, I guess.

Um, you should not not claim what you do not have. Nerd-cred can only be claimed if you are in high school or have a technical degree. You are/have neither. You MIGHT be a geek, though your blog-posts offer strong evidence otherwise.
As a test, if you are claiming both "street" and nerd cred, you are by default wrong on at least one count, and should stop.
